At 2010 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 170, the staff greets each customer with a shout of irasshai mase, the traditional welcome at Japanese ramen shops. Until last fall, the same suite held SkinnyFats. Marufuku Ramen opened there on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. It is the San Francisco shop's second Las Vegas location, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Neon reported that it followed a first outpost at The Bend in the southwest valley in February 2025.
That swap is how nearly every change at Downtown Summerlin has worked over the past year. The restaurants arriving in 2026 aren't new ideas. Each is an established concept with a following somewhere else, and the two biggest openings moved into suites that earlier restaurants had left. Knowing which space became what gives you the current map of the district.

A Three-Year Gap, Then a California Tavern
Wolfgang Puck Player's Locker closed in July 2023. Finney's Crafthouse opened in that space at 10955 Oval Park Drive on September 21, 2026, a little over three years later.
Finney's is a group of 16 neighborhood taverns from Central and Southern California, founded in 2016 and run by brothers Greg and Brad Finefrock. The name comes from their high school nickname. Their last name is pronounced "finney-frock." The Summerlin location is the group's first outside California, and the Review-Journal reported its arrival in January, so the opening was expected for most of the year.
The menu is everyday tavern food. Neon's opening-day preview listed a Southwest chicken bowl, a Cobb salad, hot wings, steak fajitas, a bison burger, a Norwegian salmon sandwich, and "Gary's oval pepperoni pizza" with cupped pepperoni. The priciest-sounding item is a burger made with Japanese wagyu ribeye, pepper jack, bacon, crisp onions, steak sauce and mustard aïoli.
Summerlin is only the first of the brothers' Las Vegas locations. The January story named a second at 6563 Las Vegas Blvd. South, at Town Square. By September, that location was under construction, with a target of late 2026. So within a few months, Finney's may be a valley-wide name, and the Summerlin location will be the one that opened first.
A Faster Turnaround on Festival Plaza Drive
Suite 170 got a new tenant much faster. In late November 2025, Neon reported that SkinnyFats at Suite 170 and Beer Zombies Draft Room at Suite 140 had closed within roughly the previous six weeks. The same story said ramen was coming and forecast Marufuku for "winter 2026." Marufuku opened on February 4, about four months after SkinnyFats closed instead of three years.
The difference likely comes from the tenant. Marufuku already had a working Las Vegas location at The Bend when it signed, so it had a template to copy. Summerlin's own announcement of the opening presented it as a well-known San Francisco ramen shop coming to the district. Before February, the closest Marufuku bowl for a Summerlin household meant a drive across the southwest valley. Now it is on Festival Plaza Drive.
The Morning Shift Filled In Too
Most of the turnover above involves dinner, but the district's early hours changed as well. Paris Baguette was announced for 10965 Lavender Hill Drive, Suite 130, in September 2025. The Review-Journal's report called the global bakery chain "coming soon," with franchisee Andrew Yoo as operator. It is open now. The Paris Baguette location page lists hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with online ordering.
Those hours matter for this district. Most Downtown Summerlin restaurants center on lunch and dinner, so a counter that opens at 6 a.m. is useful before work, after a morning workout, or ahead of a weekend game at Las Vegas Ballpark.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is another arrival from the same period. It was already open at Downtown Summerlin by the end of October 2025, according to a Summerlin announcement. Like the others, it is a multi-location concept that started elsewhere.
The One Suite Still Waiting
The district also lost a tenant this fall. La Neta Cocina y Lounge at 1770 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 200, closed suddenly on a Tuesday at the end of September after five years. Neon reported that the restaurant was known for modern takes on Mexican standards, an extensive tequila collection, and a Truff lobster quesadilla that may have been its signature dish.
The restaurant's statement to Neon put it this way: "After 5 incredible years, we've made the difficult decision to close La Neta at Downtown Summerlin. We are incredibly proud of what we built." It also called the place special for its "brunches, dinners and some pretty wild parties."
Neon's closure report did not name a next tenant for Suite 200. The two earlier swaps on this map show how wide the range can be. At one address, the new restaurant opened about four months after the old one closed, and at the other it opened more than three years later.
Just Past the District's Edge
Some of this year's openings are outside Downtown Summerlin itself. Yu by Sijie soft-opened on August 7, 2026, at Tivoli Village, 400 S. Rampart Blvd., Suite 190, with a menu built around Peking duck and handmade dim sum. Eater Vegas included it on its map of the best new Las Vegas restaurants. For anyone living on Summerlin's eastern side, it is a short drive down Rampart.
Two Dates Already Set for the Holidays
With the new restaurants in place, the holiday calendar gives you reasons to use them. Two Summerlin events have published 2026 dates.
- Enchant Christmas, November 20 through December 27. The light-maze event returns to Las Vegas Ballpark at 1650 S. Pavilion Center Drive, inside Downtown Summerlin. Enchant's 2026 page lists the dates and says tickets are on sale now. In June, FOX5 reported new light sculptures and immersive scenes for this season, along with ice skating, Santa visits and live entertainment. Marufuku, Finney's and Paris Baguette are all within walking distance, so dinner before or after a visit is easy.
- Life Time Las Vegas Turkey Trot, Thursday, November 26. The Turkey Trot offers a 5K and a 1-mile course. The 5K starts at Aviators Stadium and finishes at Life Time Summerlin, 10721 W. Charleston Blvd.
Downtown Summerlin's own holiday parade, Santa Chalet and Rock Rink were held in 2025, but as of its late-September update, the Summerlin events page listed no 2026 dates for them. Last year's schedule came out on November 1, so this year's dates may appear in the next few weeks.
